Lily Backhouse was born on the 17^th September 1889 at West Fields Kirk Hammerton Yorkshire and was the daughter of Francis William Backhouse and Emily Amelia Kendrew,
Lily was the 4^th of 9 childrten.
On the 1891 Census the family is living at 37 cottage cowthorpe
On the 11^th Oct 1899 the Boar War breaks out in africa.
King Edward 7^th becomes King on the 22^st January 1901 on the death of his mother Queen victoria
On the 1901 census Lily Backhouse was living with her parents at 47 cottage Cowthorpe
On the 3^rd May 1902 Peace declared and the Boar War comes to a end.
King George 5^th becomes King on the 6^th May 1910 on the death of his father King Edward 7^th
On the 1911 census Lily was working as a General Servant for James William Mawer at the address 13 Reginald Terrace Leeds.
Lily marries Charles Hall on the 1^st June 1914 in the village of Tockwith Yorkshire
On the 27^th May 1915 there only child Kenneth Ernest Hall was born in Hunday Fields High dunsforth Yorkshire
At this time i don't know when Lily died.
